Phase 🍀
Daylight peeking through the trees,
Sparkling leaves, dancing in the summer breeze,
Creating shadows like tiny golden diamonds on the ground,
Reminds me of your eyes -shiny,big and round,
But I know 'nothing' forever really stays,
And all this is - just a phase.
Raindrops knocking on my window pane,
Slipping through the glass, seems like the drops singing in pain,
Creating a rhythmic tune ; too pleasant for a noise,
The tune reminds me of your sweet voice.
But I know 'nothing' forever really stays,
And all this is - just a phase.
Mornings in the park, on the dew-kissed ground,
Walking barefoot on the grass, sprinkled mist all around,
Mist touching my feet, feels so serene and light,
Just like your smile that can make my entire world bright .
Still I know 'nothing' forever really stays,
And all this is - just a phase.
Yet,few decades later,with a wrinkled face,on a summer noon,
Listening to music, in my small dirty room,
I hope I might get dragged by another aged- hand,
To the balcony, where a carton of mangoes stand,
And then, as all the memories replay,
I hope I realise, that sweeter than the mangoes is you who decided to stay,
And although 'nothing' forever really stays,
But you were neither 'nothing' nor just a mere 'phase'.
